I wrote this poem for my foster son when he was 18.

I have discovered that many kids here at Cup can relate to it.

I am lovable

I can love others

Love can be safe

JESUS LOVES ME

It’s ok to cry

It’s ok to be angry

It’s ok to be sad

JESUS DIED FOR ME

I can be me

I don’t need drugs

I need others

JESUS ROSE FOR ME

God has a plan

I gave my life to Him

He cares for me

He is here with me

JESUS LIVES IN MY HEART

I have family

They love me

I am a gift from God

My life can be different

I CAN LOVE MYSELF
